Hello dear official,
I wonder if you have any plans to update the firmware for these Deco X60 V2 devices, because the devices have not received a new firmware for approximately 2 years.

Hi, I do see there is a new firmware coming on the way but I am afraid it might not be what you expected
It mainly optimized the HomeCare features, like Parental Control and QOS.

@mrcoco my units have been working fine for 48 hours since the update but I can't see from UI/feature anything different other than slightly different firmware version
Speedtest results have been very consistent throughout the day and between different spots in the house.
But I agree, a new firmware with new features would be great given that X60 is so much more expensive compared to the other models. I hope it is not forgotten

It is impossible to disagree with what you wrote. We have seen updates coming to some models since the first month, but especially for this model, although it has been more than 2 years, we have written and expressed so much, but in vain, I hope a new firmware will be given for this model as soon as possible and I hope just to give a new firmware. @mrcoco for comparison my ASUS AC68U from 2013 still have firmware upgrades till this year (latest one was May 2023) and I suspect not going to stop anytime soon. Hence it is still my main router. I would have loved to use X60 as my main router if it has more features.

Hello, Apparently, I had the same model of Asus router before. I currently have the Asus GT-AX6000 model. I bought Deco products just out of curiosity. The ones I have bought so far are deco m9plus(2.pack), deco x60(2.pack), deco x73-dsl, and latest deco x95(2.pack). But unfortunately, I have not been able to get what I expected from Deco products so far. In my opinion, Asus' routers are excellent devices in this regard.

Just had it confirmed by customer service that R&D has declared X60v2 end of life.
no new features anymore.
only firmware updates will be for security issues.
We are out of luck and money on our expensive devices.
I will be spending my money at other brands from now on and advise against buying from TP link.
