Hi

The latest firmware of RE330 (1.0.23) added EasyMesh support. Does that include the Ethernet backhaul?

If not, when ist this to be expected?

The reason I ask ist that I have conflicting information from the websites

This page claims Ethernet backhaul will be available soon with some devices (undisclosed which ones, firmware updates would suggest AX55 and AX73 have it) https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/578368

The US forum does not mention any repeaters in the list https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/kb/detail/412712

@serengeti Hi, welcome to the community.

The 1.0.23 of RE330 does not support Ethernet Backhaul yet. There hasn't been an ETA for it yet but I see the next version 1.0.30 of RE315 has added this feature and is in the beta-testing phase.

Thank you very much and best regards.

Update:

Hi, It is planned to support EasyMesh over Ethernet Backhaul under Range Extender mode.

It will start with RE315_V1 and gradually be added to other EasyMesh-supported extenders.

RE315 Supports EasyMesh Over Ethernet Backhaul

Note:

1. An extender needs to support EasyMesh (over Wi-Fi) first, then supports EasyMesh over Ethernet Backhaul.

2. Ethernet Backhaul only works when both your main router and satellite extender support EasyMesh over Ethernet Backhaul.

Best regards.
