Hi,

originally I had 3 x Deco P9 set up as a mesh network, main deco unit connected to Sky router/modem.

decided to upgrade my router to the TP link X75-DSL but can no longer get PLC to the P9.

If I change 1 x P9 to the main deco instead of the X75 I lose all internet connection.

Ive also tried to connect 1 x P9 to the X75 via Ethernet but cannot achieve PLC as I did previously.

also very unimpressed with WiFi speeds from the X75, we have sky fibre - approx 65mb download & with the sky router we were seeing consistent speeds over WiFi of just under 60mbps.

since installing the X75 download speeds are consistently below 20mbps, line speed is correct at 65mbps

hoping somebody could help?

Hi, welcome to the community.

In order to create the Powerline Backhaul via Deco P9, you have to set Deco P9 into the main Deco.

General Questions about the Powerline or PLC Backhaul Feature of Deco

So considering you are still using DSL internet service, Deco X73-DSL has to be connected to the ISP Openreach box or DSL box directly. Is there any specific reason that you wish to replace the original Sky router with a Deco X73-DSL? If not, we could still keep the original Sky router, then turn off its WiFi and connect Deco P9 to the ISP modem to provide a Mesh network over Powerline Backhaul.

Or if you wish to keep Deco X73-DSL, you could start creating another Mesh network via Deco P9 on the Deco APP>"+">"create a network"

Thank you very much and best regards.
