Hi guys,

I purchased and set up 3 * X75 around the house and its working great so far. I have the main deco connected to my 6-year old RT-AC88U router via LAN and the rest of the decos set up via app.

I also purchased an Archer AX73 AX5400 Router, thinking that I needed to replace my old router

After some reading, I am led to believe that getting the AX73 may be redundant as the Deco's act as a router as well.

Will I get any improved performance by incorporating the AX73 into my home and if so, how would I go about configuring it and the Decos (AP/Router Mode)?

many thanks for your help!

  @Icecool25

Hi, welcome to the community.

If you don't mind Deco X75 is mainly controlled by the Deco APP, I don't think Archer AX73 is needed since they are on the same wireless specification, and Deco X75  has almost similar software features as Archer AX73. Besides, Deco X75 could not create a Mesh network with Archer AX73.

Can Deco Mesh, OneMesh, EasyMesh and Omada Mesh products work together?

If you want to expand the wireless coverage, maybe you could add one more Deco, like Deco X50 pro with 2.5G Ethernet ports or Deco XE75 that supports WiFi 6E.

Thank you very much and best regards.
