Model: Archer TX50E
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Today I have just bought and installed Archer TX50E(UN) Ver:1.0 in my PC, and for some reason I can't connect to 5Ghz network.

I have 2 routers at home: RE550 from TP-Link and huawei 5g cpe pro 2.

I can connect on 2,4Ghz on both of them, but 5Ghz just isn't working. I can connect to 5Ghz from my notebook and few mobile phones, so problem is just with Archer TX50E adapter.

When I try to connect to 5Ghz, it does connect me, but can't ping even gateway.

There are also errors in event viewer:

Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz : Has encountered an internal error and has failed.

Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz : Has determined that the network adapter is not functioning properly.

5007 - TX/CMD timeout (TfdQueue hanged)

I tested many driver versions, and nothing seems to work for me. Any idea what might be wrong?

My PC:

Windows 11 23H2 latest updates

i7 12700k

Z690 Gaming X DDR4 Gigabyte

These error messages look like a Windows driver issue.

Uninstall all previously installed drivers, reboot the PC and install the latest one manually (for Win11x64) - here.

If this was helpful click once on the arrow pointing upward. If this solves your issue, click once the star to mark it as a "Recommended Solution".

@terziyski I have already done that, and still facing same problem.

I even moved network card to another PCI slot, and nothing changes ... for some reason I just can't get 5Ghz to work.

The only thing left that I could test is reinstalling Windows, but I'm trying to avoid that option.

I went for Windows reinstall anyway, because 5GHz not working was bothering me way too much.

With new Windows installation I can now connect to 5Ghz Wifi, but now I was faced with another problem.

I kep pinging both google DNS and my router gateway, and for some reason every minute or two, I lost about 4-5 pings + one huge spike from 1ms to 2500ms.

And same problem on 2,4Ghz Wifi, that I didn't have before.

Meanwhile my notebook can connect to both 5Ghz and 2,4Ghz without any unusuall latency spikes and ping drops. It just doesn't make any sense to me, but seems like the best option will be to buy UTP cable and wire it across few rooms just to get stable connection on my PC.

  @Simon771

Hi, Are you using the TP-Link official driver or the latest driver for Intel AX200?

Can you share some screenshots of the ping test?

Did it behave the same when connecting to the RE550 and Huewei 5G CPE router?

Thank you very much and wait for your reply.
