Model: Deco PX50
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Good morning,

I have bought the PLC Mesh PX50 (3 units) and I would like to know if it is compatible with the RE330. extender. I would install this one in the same floor than the third unit of PX50.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

The RE330 should extend the wireless network of the Deco PX50 just like it is able to extend other wireless networks.

However, since you've already spend so much money on your Deco Mesh network I would find it a pity if an old-fashioned range extender was added to that network. (the RE330 can't form a Mesh network with Deco devices, because it doesn't support "Deco Mesh")

In my opinion it would make much more sense to extend your Deco PX50 Mesh network with another TP-Link Deco device, so that you can enjoy the seamless Deco Mesh network everywhere. Several of the Deco models are also being sold as single units. And it doesn't necessarily have to be a model as expensive as a PX50. If you are fine with lower wireless speeds, then you could also opt for a cheaper Deco model.
