Hello,

I cannot find the answer to the following as to why this is???

So my setup is that I have a STARLINK satellite connection and I've disabled the STARLINK router and made the DECO XE75 the main router.

Got it all configured nicely and all is working fine connected to the internet - very good connections and thoroughly enjoy the WiFi6E on the routers.

All good so far and no problems.

However, when I do a WHATSMYIP - I get a totally different IP Address as what the DECO XE75 is showing me.

I'm trying to get local NEXTCLOUD setup - so I have my own cloud network as Microsoft have severely let me down and lost me all the files when the PC went dead.

MS support was as good as the ONEDRIVE - none could help me and I was left on my own to find back my files.

So in order to get the NEXTCLOUD setup through a DOMAIN - I need to setup the "A record" with an IP Address to get access.

Do I use the DECO IP address or do I use the WHATSMYIP address??

I'm confused why I have two different IP addresses - both of them EXTERNAL -

DECO starts with 100.70.x.x with a gateway 100.64.x.x

WHATSMYIP starts with 145.224.x.x

More interested into the WHY THIS IS.

Regards and thanks for the response.

  @geertje

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

It is suggested to refer to this link:

The two IP addresses are due to the CG-NAT service on Starlink.

Best regards.
