Model: Deco XE75 Pro
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.7 Build 20231011 Rel. 71327

Hi there,

Wondered if anyone can shed light on my problem.

The following setup:

Starlink router - set under Bypass Mode or has been removed.

DECO XE75 Pro - I have set as main router and connected with ethernet cable to the Starlink.

Setup XE75 and I have internet - no problem - all seems fine.

However, now I'm trying to setup Nextcloud and need access to my Linux PC.

I've forwarded port 80 and 443 to this PC.

I use a domain to access my PC - all is working fine - I can access the Linux PC from outside and get onto Nextcloud for storage.

Now comes the problem - I'm trying to install LetsEncrypt with a SSL certificate - and this constantly fails when it is trying to check my domain.

After long long and very timely searching - I have found that LetsEncrypt cannot verify my domain.

It turns out that it uses my XE75 ip address - this is 100. 70. 177. 18 - Mask 255. 192. 0. 0 and Gateway 100. 64. 0. 1

I would like to know where XE75 gets this IP address from????

Internet Connection Type is set to Dynamic IP - fine, but who is giving the XE75 that particular IP address???

My Starlink address is completely different - and when I do a "whatismyip" - I get a completely different IP address -

namely

145.

224.

65.

XXX

NSLOOKUP gives the following result:

nslookup

145.

224.

65.

XXX

239.

65.

224.

145.

in-addr.

arpa.

name =

customer.

lndngbr1.

pop.

starlinkisp.

net.

Why do I have 2 different IP addresses and how can I fix this problem???

Regards

@David-TP Thank you so much David-TP - this all makes sense now and is probably the reason why a lot does not work now with Nextcloud.

I'm now searching everywhere for how to setup IP6 on a home network - and trying to get this to work.

Learning IP6 is not a bad thing as this will be used soon everywhere -however, so far I've not found a lot about it.

Will keep you posted on more findings on this problem.
