TP-Link Archer T6E AC1300 Problems
I just bought a TP-Link Archer T6E AC1300 and as soon as i started using it, i couldn't be more disapointed.
- "802.11ac Dual Band – 3x faster than the 802.11n standard, perfect for busy networks"
- There is not a single setting that makes reference to 802.11ac. The only way to connect to 5G network is to select "Preferred Mode" to 802.11a.
- 802.11a is 5G but has a 54Mbps limit. I have a 500Mbps network :(
- "High Speed Wi-Fi – Up to 1300Mbps Wi-Fi speeds (867Mbps on the 5GHz band and 400Mpbs on the 2.4GHz band)"
- Lots of speed tests later, i can say its way slower than a simple 300Mbps USB dongle, on the same pc, location, network...
- Some searches later, lots of posts found, about slow speeds and 5g connection problems.
- Broad Wireless Range – Two external antennas ensure greater Wi-Fi coverage and enhanced stability
- HAHAHA. Nice joke.
I'm using the latest driver available (Archer T6E(EU)_V1&V2_200508_Win10_Win11).
Let's really check on Device Manager the driver version after install.
Nice, it installs some driver from 2014??!!
C'mon TP-Link.... Do your job and fix drivers, because this card at the moment is complete garbage.
