Constant switching between LTE / LTE PLUS
Hello,
The MR600(EU) is placed in a location with the best possible mobile signal. Not perfect, but it's good enough. Let's say around 75% approximately. All wireless devices connect to the Internet via the MR600 without problems.
This issue ONLY occurs with the current firmware (220826). It does NOT occur with the previous one (220105). After upgrading to 220826, I quickly noticed an almost constant blinking of the router's 4G+ front led. Looking at the system log, it is very quickly filled (tens of pages) with the following:
19:29:06 [6] 4G: USER: Network type is LTE PLUS.
19:29:07 [6] 4G: USER: Network type is LTE.
19:29:07 [6] 4G: USER: Network type is LTE PLUS.
19:29:08 [6] 4G: USER: Network type is LTE.
19:29:10 [6] 4G: USER: Network type is LTE PLUS.
19:29:10 [6] 4G: USER: Network type is LTE.
19:29:12 [6] 4G: USER: Network type is LTE PLUS.
19:29:12 [6] 4G: USER: Network type is LTE.
19:29:15 [6] 4G: USER: Network type is LTE PLUS.
19:29:15 [6] 4G: USER: Network type is LTE.
19:29:15 [6] 4G: USER: Network type is LTE PLUS.
19:29:16 [6] 4G: USER: Network type is LTE.
19:29:23 [6] 4G: USER: Network type is LTE PLUS.
19:29:23 [6] 4G: USER: Network type is LTE. etc. etc.
This is a very short sample. Notice the timestamp. Reverting back to the previous firmware (220105) brings back the previous behaviour: the 4G+ led is always on and does not blink. Looking at the log again reveals that the LTE/LTE PLUS switching still occurs, but only occasionally and only once every x minutes where x can be anything between 5, 60 (one hour) or more.
I don't currently have access to the device, but I've kept logs of both firmware versions. Antennas are ok and I've already tried resetting it. There is clearly a difference between the two firmware versions. Connected devices still seem to work normally, but this constant switching every second surely can't be normal?
