DECO X50 - slow upload speed
Hello,
I recently bought 3-Pack of Deco x50 (EU ver. 1) and I'm wondering why download speeds are 3 to 6 times slower than upload.
My ISP is INEA from Poland and I have fiber link 300/300 Mbs. The modem is ALCATEL-LUCENT GPON ONT I-241W-S with DHCP Server.
I double checked link with ISP support. I connected my PC to modem directly and upload was solid 300 Mbs.
Unfortunatly when PC is connected by wire with DECO (which is connected to modem - dynamic connection) upload speed vary from 50 to 100 Mbs.
I tired various settings with QoS - no luck.
Best regards
Marcin

Hi, Did it help if you set Deco X50 into Access Point mode under Deco APP>More>Advanced>Operation Mode?
Wait for your reply and best regards.

Please, I need help. I tested two scenarios and I cannot understand why upload speed is crippled. I mean, why exchanging data between two Decos is different for download and upload?
1. ISP Modem (300/300) <--eth--> Deco x50 (Main) <~~ WiFi (5g 160 Mhz) ~~> Deco x50 (Sat) <--eth--> PC
Download | Upload
316.63 Mb/s | 79.13 Mb/s |
2. ISP Modem (300/300) <--eth--> Deco x50 (Main) <--eth--> PC
Download | Upload
316.92 Mb/s | 305.34 Mb/s |

Hi, sorry for the delay.
I'm a little curious about your speedtest here:
Did the slow upload speed only happen to satellite Deco X50?
-In the original post, you mentioned the main Deco also had the same issue.
And is the satellite Deco X50 quite close to the main Deco X50 since usually the speed from the satellite Deco will drop a little bit over wireless Backhaul Mesh? Your download speed from the satellite X50 is quite good.
Wait for your reply and best regards.

Hello, no worries :)
I'm not sure which Deco or if all of them are suffering slow uploads.
If I understand correctly, download and upload speeds may vary between router and client. This led me to idea to test only wireless backhaul as speeds should be even. Unfortunately they are not.
Units are about 7 meters apart.

Exactly the same issue for me. Even worse. Can"t get upload speed higher than 2Mbits/s, should be 100Mbits/s. Download is fine, no speed issues or differences.
Anyone who has a solution ?
