I have the Archer VR2100V DSL Router and want to connect and use Fax with it. I bought an Epson all in One Printer.

 

Currently I was only able to send a fax to a 0180 number in Germany successfully - everything else is not working. I can hear the dialing and transmission but there is nothing received with local numbers.

 

My DSL Provider 1&1 suggested me this article.

Unfortunately telnet is not working the article only refers to these DSL Routers so I can not provide them with any Wireshark capture. 

Archer VR900v( V2 ) , Archer VR2800v( V1 ) , Archer VR600v( V1 V2 )

 

Is there any possibility to connect via telnet to the archer vr2100v router?

Any Idea why it is not possible to send a fax to local numbers?

Ask Telekom for an appointment perhaps the Fax machine (Espon All in One) can be connected directly via phone box? Not sure if I have ISDN or needed?

Where did you connect the Epson combo device - Phone1/Phone2 port ?

Did you see the call logs in Advanced > Telephony > Call Log.

This may lead you to the problem you have.

VR2100v doesn't seem to support telnet feature.

Do you use a regular phone for voice calls (perhaps on the Phone 2 port) ?

If that so, can you see these calls in the call log ?

Do you have a DSL splitter in your premises - if you do, you could try connecting the Epson combo device to the DSL splitter phone port and test again.

It's unfortunate that telnet isn't working for you, limiting troubleshooting options. Regarding faxing to local numbers, it could be related to configuration or compatibility issues. Considering reaching out to  SASSA Grant Increase or Telekom for assistance and exploring the possibility of directly connecting your Epson All-in-One to the phone box.
