Model: Deco X50 - PoE
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have some devices that refuse to connect if 2.4 and 5ghz have same SSID.

As far as i understand x50 cannot seperate but i can deactive one of them.

Do anyone know if it could be solved if i had the main SSID to be both 2.4 and 5 ghz and then create a guest network with another ssid only supporting 2.4ghz.

If i set the guest network to "Approve local access"

Do you think this will work ?.

  @pcmagic

Hi, did you set Deco X50-POE into Access Point mode?

Deco X50-POE with the latest firmware supports IOT network and it is default on 2.4GHz.

TP-Link IoT Network

Thank you very much and best regards.
