Model: Archer MR600   Archer NX200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hello,

I'd like to purchase the best 4G+ (LTE Advanced) Wi-Fi router from TP-Link, but I'm not sure which one is the best. I can see NX200 supports 5G and is backwards compatible with 4G, but I don't see 4G+ mentioned, unlike with Archer MR600 that clearly states 4G+. Which of these is better for 4G+?

Hi, thanks for being interested in TP-Link products.

From our global website, you can see the 3G/4G/5G WiFi router family: https://www.tp-link.com/home-networking/3g-4g-router/
From the Overview page of Archer NX200, this model also supports 4G-LTE advanced (4G+) and 4G-LTE, besides 5G: https://www.tp-link.com/home-networking/3g-4g-router/archer-nx200/

Generally speaking, Archer AX200 is the most advanced model.

But you can consider which model is more attractive to you and whether you can purchase it in your region.

Using both of them, MR600 a bit more laggy in usage in comparison to the new NX200.

The new NX200 is still at the beginning of the software stability. Mine crashes every few hours, does not like speed tests, maybe overheating too much.

In summary at the moment the MR600 is more stable for me, maybe the NX200 will become better over the next months with new firmware.

  @Exposure

Hi, may I confirm that you mean selecting band manually? On 5G or 4G?

Hi, may I confirm whether you are using the latest firmware version? You may check from our official website.

According to your description, it seems both unstable and slow speed problem at the same time, compared to your Archer MR600.

Could you please share more details about problems that happened on Archer NX200?

You may refer to the two troubleshooting guide to check first:

How to troubleshoot if I have low speed with TP-Link Wireless LTE Router.
TP-Link LTE Router keeps disconnecting

Note: We noticed that the guides needs be updated and we will update them in the future. Please do not worry, they are still suitable for Archer NX200.

I just tried a NX200 and it only achieves half the upload and download speeds of our MR500 (which is similar to MR600) on 4G LTE Band 20.

The weird part is that the NX200's speed using our external antenna (roof-mounted with line of sight to the mast) is no higher than using its internal antennae (in a closet behind two brick walls). This suggests the firmware is ignoring the "use external antenna" toggle. Updated to latest firmware and rebooted several times, to no avail.

Disappointed. Returning to Amazon. Our MR500 is reprieved.
