Model: Archer MR200
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 220513 Rel.40397n

Initially I was using a MR600 for a couple years with no issues, then we started to get regular drops. I followed numerous posts on here and tried all the different "fixes" but nothing worked. Eventually it was so bad I just went out and bought a brand new modem. Unfortunately our local tech store only had another TP Link router in stock (MR200) but I thought with it being new, there shouldn't be the same problem.. I was wrong. Not even a few days in and we are starting to experience the same thing. The router just drops the connection for no reason.. Today I also ordered a new sim card (EE) so will be testing when that arrives. I haven't uploaded the new ISP file to the MR200 yet, thinking that because the router is brand new, there shouldn't be a need!? Or am I wrong here?!?

Here are screenshots of connected.. and not connected..

Can someone please advise on next steps here. I cannot believe that a brand new modem is faulty in exactly the same way as my old one!!

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

Multiple factors might cause the disconnect automatically. For the LTE disconnecting issue, please try the following steps for troubleshooting:

    1. If the band was changing to a different one when the internet interrupts, select a 4G LTE band(s) manually on Advanced > Network > Internet page and change the Band from "Auto" to "Manual". If your LTE router doesn't support manual band selection, you could get the beta firmware from this thread:  Manual Band Selection for 4G WiFi Routers

    2. You may try to change the Network Type on Advanced > Network > Internet page from 4G Preferred to 4G Only.

    3. Please insert the same SIM into a smartphone to check if the SIM has a problem.

  @Marvin_S

I have tried all your steps already, along with putting my sim and my partners sim in the router with mixed results. My sim wasn't registering and my partners registered but wouldn't connect.

I have factory reset the router a bunch of times, changed all various settings that have been recommended in previous posts, factory reset again and still having issues. I have ordered a new sim from the ISP which is due tomorrow and i will test that and see what happens.

I have created new APN connections with no luck either.

I am also reluctant to use a beta firmware because i won't then be able to return this router for a refund and plus, its a brand new router (less than 1 week old) so it already has the latest firmware installed so it should work!
