After upgraded my Deco XE75 to the latest firmware (1.2.8 Build 20240328 Rel.43136), I cannot Airplay my iPhone 15 screen to my Samsung TV.

Hi, would there be any error message on the iPhone when airplay failed to work?

Are they both connected to the Main Network?

It is also suggested to connect iPhone and Samsung TV to different Deco XE75 units to see whether it made any difference.

By the way, before 1.2.8, did you use 1.2.6?

---If yes, 1.2.8 could be downgraded to 1.2.6 directly via web UI.

Hi,

1. There is no error message, my iPhone just prompt it cannot connect to my Samsung TV, but I can see the TV in the Airplay list for selection in my iPhone

2. They are both connect to the same wifi network

3. It works normally before the firmware upgrade to 1.2.8

4. Would you please provide the procedures to downgrade the firmware to 1.2.6

 

For you information, I have tried resetting my Deco XE75 by pressing the "reset" button and setup again, but the result is still negative.

Hi, from 1.2.5 to 1.2.8, it is a minor firmware upgrade and the downgrade process from 1.2.8 to 1.2.5 is the same as the firmware upgrade.

(I haven't seen 1.2.6 on the HK website and there is only 1.2.5. I think maybe your original version is 1.2.5 instead.)

You could take the following instructions for reference:

1. download the 1.2.5 bin file from the official site first:

https://www.tp-link.com/hk/support/download/deco-xe75/#Firmware

2. log into the web interface of Deco via http://tplinkdeco.net

3. upload the 1.2.5 bin file via local upgrade

  @BC168 Hi, did you tried using peer-to-peer AirPlay? peer-to-peer AirPlay allows for streaming without the need for both devices to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. 

Just disconnect iOS device from Wifi network and try to use Airplay on your TV, even whitout WiFi, your iOS device should be able to discover TV and connect. 

If still not working then the issue is not on Deco Network
