As per this reply from support.

Please advise what my best options are to ramp up speed across my house:

I've now upgraded to 900 mbps Fibre connection to the house. Satellite Deco's are still running at 250 mbps. Everything on cat 6.

I need to test my mac against the router and also the main Deco unit via ethernet.

Upstairs via wifi to the main router downstairs i get 602 down 682 up, via wifi to the main deco downstairs 180 down 396 up

@RGaskell Run the Decos in access point mode

Just a M4 (2-pack) user who regrets buying it

  @RGaskell

Changed to access point.

Main deco now gets 700mbps, satellite one gets 450mbs (strong signal - room above router) and satellite two gets 300 mbps (medium signal)

If a speedtest is running on both satellites they get about 240 each.

So if one of the kids is gaming its fine but if they both are then it drops speed. Now its on access mode I can't kick them off the network either.
