No Ringtone, everything else works withput problems...
Hi all,
I have two of these routers, bought in the last weeks of different sources. I first tried it with one router:
I have a telephone directly connected to the telephony connection. It was very easy to configure everything for my telephony provider Easybell (VoIP, Germany), it worked immediately without problems. My telephone rings, I can call others, we can talk, all works perfectly. Only one little problem:
When I call someone, I can't hear any Ringtone. Just noise until the other one picks up the receiver and the conversation starts...
Everything else works fine.
However, both routers, I tried each one separately, directly wired to find out, if one would work, but they have both the same problem.
Is this a known problem? I am in Germany, maybe a local thing?

Hi,
I haven't got such feedback yet, so please test the following troubleshooting steps first.
1. Reboot the router and the telephone.
2. Make sure the internet is working normally.
3. If you have another router, you can also test with it, and check if it is an issue with provider.

Thank you for your suggestions, but all of them done multiple times. Telephones worked great on a Fritzbox, and do work great still-
Internet connection is stable and reliable, even the sound quality of speech is the best I ever had -
only without Ringtone...
Normally I would think of some special hardware thing, but two routers show exactly the same behaviour.
By the way: On my old Fritzbox there always was, and still IS a Ringtone with the same connection. I only cannot use this because of other problems. But this proves, that it is not a provider problem.
