Dear TP-Link Support,

I am trying to set up my TP-Link Wi-Fi extender to extend the signal from my Tenda router, which is located approximately 5 meters away. While setting up, the Tenda router is not consistently appearing in the list of available networks. It showed up once, and I was able to successfully set up the extender. However, after working perfectly for one day, the extender is no longer detecting the Tenda router, even though my internet connection is stable and functioning well.

I would prefer to set up the extender wirelessly, without using an Ethernet cable, as I want to utilize the full wireless functionality of the TP-Link extender. Could you please assist in resolving this issue and help me ensure the extender can reliably connect to my Tenda router?

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,
Faisal

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

May I confirm when you purchased the router? Can the router work properly as range extender mode before?

It is suggested to update firmware according to the official website to latest for a try, put TL-WR840N closer to your main router and reboot your main router.
