AX55 and IoT
AX55 and IoT
Hi
Setting up an IoT network seems very straightforward and I was able to do it quickly.
However, I can't see the IoT network so I can connect to it.
What am I missing?
Thanks!

@Kevin_Z Hi, still no luck getting the IoT network set up. Just keeps defaulting to the "main" SSID. I'm getting quite desperate. Any new things I could try?

Sorry to hear that the issue persists.
Could you please confirm if your AX55 is working in Router mode or AP Mode?
If possible, please restore it to factory default settings, DON'T modify any settings except the IoT Network settings, will you be able to save it and see the created IoT network?

@Hunter_JG same issue here, once I fixed when restore config from backup, but after some days the IoT wireless network disappear again, bit only the 2.4GHz. But my IoT devices can use 2.4GHz only. Is there any workaround or fix?
@Dorion Is your TP-Link device also Archer AX55 V1? Please check and ensure its firmware is up-to-date.
Is your AX55 running in Router mode or AP Mode? If it is in AP Mode, please check my previous response to Hunter_JG that tries switching it back to Router Mode, resetting it to factory defaults, and then switching back to AP Mode.
If it is always in Router mode, but the IoT Network doesn't work properly, please provide some more details, then we will try to investigate further:
1. Are there any EasyMesh satellite devices connected to the AX55? What are the models?
2. If there are EasyMesh satellite devices in the network, please try to remove them from the network and disable EasyMesh on the AX55 to monitor if the IoT Network will work properly.
Thank you very much.

@Kevin_Z Definately running in Router mode. Have not done the factory reset yet. Will respond as soon as I have been able to do it.

Thank you very much for your quick response.
From your previous description, it seems that you uploaded the backup file after resetting the AX55 to factory defaults, have you ever tried to reset it and reconfigure it from scratch instead of uploading the old backup? We need to check if this issue is not caused by any settings in the backup file.
When the IoT Network stops working, please login to the web management page of the AX55 and go to the IoT Network settings, please confirm if the SSIDs are still saved correctly or if they are changed back to be the same as the main networks.

@Kevin_Z Yes I reseted the device yesterday, and reconfigure by manually. Did not fix the issue :-( The 5GHz IoT network is working but the 2.4GHz still dosen't work.

@Kevin_Z Disabling Mesh made no difference.
