Model: Archer AX1500
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.0.8 Build 20240910 rel.37547(5553)

I have successfully created an Open VPN Client on my router.

When I enable the vpn for specific devices it seems to tunnel all traffic through that destination which is not ideal.

Is it possible to just tunnel specific destination routes? That way I can leave the connection permanently enabled utilise spilt tunnel and not hair pin my internet access unnecessarily.

I tried to achieve this by editing to ovpn file but those settings don't seem to be read by the router.

Hi, welcome to our community.

It seems that Archer AX3000 has no hardware V3.

Could you please share how you edit the .ovpn file? Then we will check and provide further suggestions.

Sorry I entered the wrong model. It is an AX1500.

The ovpn file is like before. Where the route for 10.0.1.0/24 should be going to 10.0.99.1

dev tun
persist-tun
persist-key
client
resolv-retry infinite
remote <server> 1194 udp
lport 0
auth-user-pass
route 10.0.1.0 255.255.255.0 10.0.99.1
