Hi @Danielfisher12,

There are two methods to configure the TP-Link router:

Method 1: Through the web management interface of the Router (recommended)

    1. Connect a PC to the router, either connecting by Ethernet or connecting to the default Wi-Fi of the router; the network name looks like TP-Link_XXXX, the default Wi-Fi password can be found on the label of the router.

    2. Open a browser on your PC, type "http://tplinkwifi.net" in the address bar, and access the router's web management interface. You will be asked to set an admin password; please remember this password well.

    3. Follow the instructions on the web page to setup your new TP-Link Archer Router; the Internet connection details can be obtained from your Internet Service Provider.

4. Here is a setup video that provides step-by-step instructions:

Method 2: Through the Tether APP on your phone (the Router must support Tether APP)

    1. Download the Tether app from Google Play or the App Store; you can also scan the QR code on the product box to download it.

    2. Connect your phone to the default Wi-Fi of the router; the network name looks like TP-Link_XXXX, and the default Wi-Fi password can be found on the label of the router.

    3. Enter the Tether APP; the Tether APP would automatically find your new router; follow the instructions in the Tether APP to set it up.

If you cannot connect your new router to the network, or if you need to reconfigure your router after moving house or changing service provider, reset the router first by pressing and holding the reset button until the LED blinks, restoring it to its factory settings. Then you may try the following steps:

    1. Power off your modem and connect the router's WAN port into your modem using an Ethernet cable.

    2. Power on the router; when the router is fully powered on, power on your modem.

Since the router is designed to be plug-and-play, it should already have Internet when you complete the above steps; the default Internet connection type is "Dynamic IP" or "DHCP". If your ISP provides different Internet connection types, such as PPPoE, you will have to manually configure it to obtain Internet.
