Model: Deco X50 - PoE
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.2.5

Hi there,

My Deco's have been working fine via WIFI, but I now want to have them hard wired as my 300mb connection only transfers through to 75mb ish at the end of my house.

I have tried a few different ways to wire it up, but I can't get the ethernet backhaul to work!

Currently wired as the below, in Access Point mode, but have also tried Router Mode.

1) Router --> Deco--> PoE Switch --> Deco #1 & Deco #2  (so a star network, I believe it is called)

However, it still connects via Wi-FI with below image...

Can anyone please advise?

Connect one of Satellite Deco directly to Main Deco with Ethernet cable, see if it can get Ethernet backhaul. Router --> Main Deco--> Satellite Deco

If it does, it is possible switch that you are using does not support Deco Ethernet backhaul protocols. More on the topic of Deco Ethernet backhaul can be found here: General questions about Ethernet Backhaul feature on your Deco

Thank you for the reply... I tried that & it still only goes via the WIFI. I know the ethernet is fine because I can get a hard line connection when plugging it into my laptop! Both my 48 way switch (TL-SG1048) and POE switch (LS108GP) are TP Link ones!

I take it back, when I took an ethernet directly from the switch to the Deco is worked.... so I must have an issue either with the inbult cables (ill check now) or somewhere else?

Thanks...ill post back here when/if I find anything!
