Region : Belgium

Model : TL-WR1043ND

Hardware Version : V2

Firmware Version : 3.15.31 Build 130925 Rel.32445n

ISP : Ziggo

Firmware Version: 3.15.31 Build 130925 Rel.32445n
Hardware Version: WR1043 v2 00000000

Hi everyone. This time i give up and i ask for help!

First of all let me say i never got as much for the buck as with this router, it works great and cost very little.
FTP to the USB storage is flawless so is the remote management, port forwarding (utorrent emule...) works fine.
The router is next to a ISP modem, the ISP has bridged my router so that it has a WAN Public IP, (like it was in DMZ,exposed)

What it does not work (yet) is the WOL from outside my house.

In any state my NAS (windows 7 pc) is, it will wake up from any Device within my network 192.168.1.xxx, but not from outside, as if the Magic package wont arrive.

I have forwarded port 7 and 9 to my internal 192.168.0.105 but it wont work, on the same nas i open say port 333333 and i can check and confirm it works.

So am i doing something wrong, WOL wont work via public IP,or what am i missing? I tried using wireshark but is too complicated for me.

My goal? From anywhere in the world to awake my nas so that i can use Logmein or Teamviewer to use it.

Thanks!

Gabriel

Did you try to disable the hardware NAT?

That did not make a difference. Not sure what is the difference between the 2 option though...

Anyway if i check from any online internet tool if port 9 is open, it shows as closed...so the router is not opening it i guess?

Wonder why there is no WOL function in the router,,,seems so simple!:(

You need to BIND your Mac and IP addresses, otherwise it wont work.
Select IP & MAC Binding on the left Menu side tabs.
Select Binding Settings
Select Add New
Insert Mac and IP addresses of your NAS, Server or whatever.Select Save.
Port forward 9 to the same IP address as above.
Restart router to be sure..It will now work
Go here for WOL sender and checker...

I have test my smartphone with my router and it works!
I use the app Wake My Pc to wake my computer! All you should do is set virtual server correctly!
By the way, please bind your IP and MAC on your router.
