Hi,
I have a local LAN with an DHCP server, that ist serving x.y.46.130/27 (x.y to hide the real one), Gateway is x.y.46.129, DNS is x.y.46.135 The Archer connects to the net and gets an IP address. I want to get the archer to deliver the x.y.46.133/27 net to my WLAN devices, but if I disable DHCP on the archer, he does not deliver any IP to the device. The archer is serving with WEP2 encryption.
What do I have to configure how? My last WLAN router, just went "transparent", when I disabled the internal DHCP server of this last router, but the archer does not.
When I activate DHCP on the archer, I can serve the internet, but do not get (for sure) the IP addresses I need, I just get the 192.168.... IPs I cannot use.

many thanks for ans hints.

all the best
Juergen

1,disable DHCP on C7
2,make sure enable the dhcp server in LAN and the server will release the dhcp offer and ack packet data.
3,set C7 as gateway in order to access internet successfully.

Hi!

What precisely do you mean by "set C7 as gateway"? If I disable NAT, DHCP and firewall will the C7 act as a layer 2 WLAN-to-LAN bridge? This is the configuration I want. Infrastructure is in place, I need a bridge, no router, no NAT, no DHCP ...

I tried precisely this: disable NAT, DHCP and firewall, reboot. The C7 gets an IP address from my DHCP server that I can ping from the same LAN, but I cannot access the web interface via that IP address.

Thanks

OK, found it - thanks. Connecting your local LAN to one of the LAN ports of the C7 and completely ignoring everything WAN-related does the trick.

Best regards
