TL-WR710N Intermittent Dropped Connection - RESOLVED
Region : UnitedKingdom
Model : TL-WR710N
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : 3.14.9 Build 130419 Rel.58371n
ISP : PlusNet
I have a TP-LINK TL-WR710N router operating in client mode. It would drop its wireless connection to my main router approximately every 20 minutes, requiring a device reboot.
I have just solved this problem and wanted to share the solution on here.
The other router is a Netgear N300 JWNR2010 capable of up to 300Mbps. The Netgear's wireless access point was set to operate at up to 300Mbps. I changed this to 150Mbps and that fixed the problem. I now get a rock solid connection between the two routers.
I hope this helps someone.
