Model: RE315
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have been using range extender RE315 AC1200 with a D-Link rounter for years with no issue.
My D-Link router started having problems so I bought a new router TP-Link AC1200 Archer A6.
Got the router set up with no issues, but when I try to connect the range extender to the new router it is not working.
I have followed the steps to plug in the range extender near the router, wait for the power button to turn on, then press the WPS button the router then press it on the extender.
All 4 lights on the extender light up, but only sometimes can I see the _EXT network show up on the wifi list on my phone.
When it does show up I can connect, but the network will disappear within 30 seconds even though all the lights are still on on the extender.

I have to unplug or press the reset button on the extender and go through the set-up steps again to get the _EXT network to show and it always disappears.

Hi @Krinkelz,

From your description, you should have created an easymesh network. Archer A6 V4 and RE315 are both compatible with easymesh technology.

EasyMesh is a standardized Wi-Fi Mesh technology that allows multiple devices from different manufacturers to work together seamlessly and provides a unified and scalable Wi-Fi network.
You may find the models that support EasyMesh here: TP-Link EasyMesh Devices for Home

After configuring the easymesh network, the SSID and password of RE315 will be the same as the main router. This is why the _EXT network will disappear.
