Hi guys, great thread, I have been have been struggling with from 2.5Ghz network dropping, and when I turned the router off and then on again, it looked like some config got affected, which resulted in a factory reset. After this I could not reliably login to the router wirelessly, and internet access was even worse (unreliable and not always available to connect to). I have implemented to above suggested changes, so lets see, but all good so far (10 mins) :).

I still do experience a problem with accessing the router config page. I sometime can access it and other times can not get to it at all. Is this related to logging out before closing the browser, or is it an obscure setting somewhere?

Thanks

Has there been a Resolution?
2017-01-07 03:17:32
Hello, has this been resolved for anyone else?

Ever since I connected the Wink Hub (wifi only device for home automation), I have been having this issue. I returned the Wink Hub, and my router seemed to work fine. I then purchased the Wink Hub 2 (wifi and ethernet device for home automation), and now the issue is happening again. It's now at about every 4 hours where my router needs to be power cycled.

Firmware Version:
3.15.1 Build 160719 Rel.57530n

Hardware Version:

Archer C7 v2 00000000

I have an e-mail chain going with TP-Link support but they reply back like once a day. I need this resolved ASAP.

I have the same configuration as VirusX39. I also have the same issue as VirusX39. Have to reset my wireless router every few hours. Very frustrating.

My solution was to get rid of it and get a Netgear Modem/Router combo. C7000 Nighthawk did the trick. TP-Link support was horrible, they said they were too busy to chat with me and wanted to e-mail. Then we tried e-mail communication and after 1-2 replies never heard from them again. Will probably never get another TP-Link product again.

There is a sticky thread which says that Dell computer will crash the C7 router. You could have a check if you encounter the same issue.

I have only recently begun to experience this problem. I've had the Router for over a year and it has been working flawlessly until about 1 week ago.
Now I have to reboot 2-3 times/day. So I recently updated the firmware...now running
3.15.2 Build 170525 Rel.37571n
Archer C7 v2 00000000

The problem continues.
Here's a copy of the system log right after a reboot.
Any help would be appreciated.

Reboot will clean the information when the issue happen. The current log has no useful information.
Can you log in to the router without a reboot when the issue happen?
You can perform a reset and reduce the number of clients to test the router.
If the issue still happen, better to contact support.usa@tp-link.com for help.

Workaround
2018-01-17 11:26:54
Hey All, just wanted to share my workaround for the constantly dropped WAN connection.

Under "Network" > "WAN" > "Advanced", I found a setting "Detect Online Interval". I configured it to 10 seconds and have not noticed the dropped connections anymore. I'm sure they're still happening, so would love to hear an actual fix or even just discover the underlying problem, but hope this might help some of you out.

Cheers
