How to setup TL-WPA271 to extend home Wi-Fi

I've been able to add the TL-WPA271 to my powerline network, and can access the configuration screens, but would appreciate some advice on how to use it to extend my existing home wifi, as I can find no "Extend network" wireless mode.
[*]Do I just replicate my home wifi SSID, and security password? I assume this won't "clash" with my existing wifi network?
[*]Does the WPA 271 wifi extend via the powerline network, or does it just boost the signal to my home network?
