@David-TP - Thank you for sharing the beta FW.
I just upgraded my device - I will run some test during next days and share the feedback then.
One more thing, I observed that on the offical FW and the beta as well -> The "Today" and "This Month" Data statistics show the same numbers

Hi, thanks for the quick update.
Is it because you might set up the M8550?
Did you frequently use M8550, as the daily data consumption seems quite a lot?
If the data consumption is much more than the actual use, can you try to update the email with a copy of the web UI system log on the M8550?
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

@David-TP
The data consumption is expected - I just put a little stress on bandwidth because of the Beta FW.
But I expect to see:
Today eg 3GB, This month 56 GB - The 56GB were used from last 3days (not only today).

It appears that TPLink does not conduct internal firmware/software testing, but rather distributes beta (or alpha) firmware and collects feedback.
The daily data counter no longer functions with 1.2.0, the display backlight is now permanently on, and the device continues to overheat without being subjected to significant stress.
The Nighthawk M7 Pro with Snapdragon X75 is now available in Germany, and it seems that the exorbitantly high price of €1,000 is worth it after all. (It also supports the only useful band combination for 5G network speeds—5GHz and 6GHz WiFi simultaneously.)

Hi, thanks a lot for the update.
I'll escalate your case to the senior senior engineer for further assistance.
By the way, the engineer didn't have the data usage issue on the tested devices. He wondered if you could factory reset M8550 once to see if the same issue repeated.
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

Many thanks for quick response - Just performed the reset and keep you posted.
The beta FW looks promising in case of heat but allow me to run more test before I will share full feedback.

Thanks for your feedback - 1000$ is too much for me, I have a bad experience with M3 and my key functionality is WAN/LAN option -> seems in the M7 Pro Ethernet port can act as LAN only.
The price for the M8550 is not low either, and of course we should expect the firmware to be more refined right away.
I sincerely hope that TP-Link already has sufficient experience with 5G from other models, and that our device is experiencing “teething problems” that will be quickly resolved.

Hi, nice to see you again.
I'm sorry that the beta suggestion gave you such an impression. There is a professional R&D team for M8550, and they all pay highly attention to the relevant feedback, as it is going to be our flagship 5G MiFi product. Additionally, an official firmware that improves the temperature control of M8550 will also be released in the coming weeks.
As this community concentrates on TP-Link products, it is natural that you might find more negative feedback here, which is not unique to our brand but extends to others. But we are still actively participating in discussions and wish to offer prompt solutions to address user concerns.
Thank you very much for your understanding and support.
Best regards.

It sounds like the configuration itself is fine since it works on other devices connected to the M8550. If the M8550 shows “connected” but no actual traffic is hitting your WireGuard server, that could point to a bug in the current firmware’s WireGuard implementation. I’d suggest double-checking that the latest firmware is installed, and if it is, capturing logs while attempting to connect so you can share them with TP-Link support. Sometimes certain VPN protocols need specific NAT or firewall settings enabled on the device itself, so it might also be worth confirming if any advanced security features are blocking the tunnel. Just like how file-sharing apps such as https://www.xendarapp(.)com need the right permissions and network access to transfer files smoothly, VPN connections also rely on proper configurations to work as expected.

@David-TP
Hi David
Any idea about availability in Singapore?
Also, do you have a link to the antennaes that connect to the TS-9 ports? Or can any antennaes with a TS-9 plug work with the M8550?
