Hi,

following topic that was closed a long ago without solution, I have a question:
Deco X20 Access Point Mode causing Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) block - https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/253852

My network topology is

Ubiquitti UDM connected to the internet and switch.
the managed switch (also Ubiquiti) is distributing the ethernet across 3 floors of my house, in each of them Deco X60 behind UPS,

problem is when there is a restart / power outage the Ubiquiti sets the port of deco units as STP blocked, most probably talking to each other over the wifi not through the ethernet,

is there a way to the set STP priority or at least block the ability to have mesh over wifi and use ethernet only?

thanks

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.

There hasn't been an option to set STP priority on the Deco APP. Can you configure it on the switch?

Or would it be possible to disable the Loop Detection of the three specific Ethernet ports for Deco X60s?

At the earlier stage of establishing Ethernet Backhaul, Deco switching from Wi-Fi backhaul to Ethernet backhaul may create a short loop in the network for 1~2s.

General questions about Ethernet Backhaul feature on your Deco

Thanks a lot.

Best regards.

Hi  @David-TP,

The STP priority is defined on the switch and port level but the problem is that the sub units connects to the main 9ver wifi that time,

So unless you mean that the main port should dedicated priority, I don't know how to do that.

Thanks
