Model Number: Archer D2
Hardware version: Archer D2 v1 00000000
Firmware version: 0.8.0 1.1 v003e.0 Build 150730 Rel.62022n (latest)
ISP: Telecom Italia
Hello,
I have Archer D2 connected to my home network.
Some clients are wired, some others are wireless.
On the Network Map I can see only the wireless client but not the wired.
Wired clients are:
1. Network Disk (NAS)
2. Set top Box (Satellite receiver)
3. Other Access points (2)
All of them have got a Static IP and I have reserved the IP for them, associating to MAC address.
DHCP is active (but only form 192.168.0.50 to 192.168.0.99) and Static IP clients have IP lower then 192.168.0.50
The clients can anyway connect to the router and also to the internet but sometime the connection is lost and I have to reset the client.
Thanks for your support.
Regards
ugo

It seems that this thread is reporting the same issue:

All of them have got a Static IP and I have reserved the IP for them, associating to MAC address.
I think that it is the problem, Static IP entered in those hosts settings.

Hi jimasek,
thank you for your reply.
Do you mean the problem is that they shouldn't have a Static IP or that I shouldn't associate it with the MAC adress?
Furthermore, it does show the IP address (static) of the NAS when I switch it on but then it disappears after a few seconds.
And it seems the same issue of this thread.

I'm not sure for 100% but I think that TP-Link doesn't show clients with static IP.

I tend to disagree: the Static IP devices appears randomly, and thee are shown on the Android app (tether).
Also Dynamic IP devices do not appear.
There must be a bug somewhere.
Any suggestion from TP-Link?

I said "I'm not sure for 100%"
You have to report it here - http://ticket.tp-link.com/index.php?/Core/Default/Index or in your country TP-Link support.

Hi, have you tried to leave the D2 as DHCP server for all internal IPs, and create a reservation IP table for the MAC addresses, that has just like the same effect of having static IPs?
You have to go on Advanced, Security, IP & MAC binding to create the ARP list, and also on Advanced, Network, LAN Settings, to create the Address Reservation list and configure the DHCP Server option.
Cheers from Italy too! :o

Hi,
what you suggest is exactly the configuration that I have set.
But FYI, I have opened a ticket and after some reviews a defect in the firmware was uncovered and it will be fixed with the next version.
But thanks for your interest!
