TP link archer AX55 update (newest one)
I have updated my router from the previous version to this new version as it says alot of things have been fixed, then realised this new version for the Archer AX55 resets the router back to factory settings and you have to setup the router as if it came out of the box, not a great start, but also with the new firmware version I am getting 150mbps, but the package I pay for is 1000mbps, my speed test isnt reaching this atall.
The version my router was on was build:
1.4.1 Build 20250821 rel.70686
And this worked a treat with the speed and was getting 800+ on speed.
Can anyone from tp link reach out to me with the old version of firmware for this router as it worked fine before or a new update that allows my speed how it was back to normal, now the new update has decreased my network speed entirely, I cant even play a game of warzone without it lagging 😅 getting each game od 550ms of ping 🤮
Or is there a setting I'm missing and thats why its not back to its original speed.

Hi @zexoni70 ,
Thanks for your reply.
If you have already contacted an engineer and plan to conduct the remote test, it is recommended that you ensure you can connect to the Archer AX55's network at that time.
If you find a solution, please feel free to share it.![]()

Hi all users,
Archer AX55_V1_1.5.11 Build 20251119 has been released in some regions. Please update to the latest firmware to see if it can fix the previous anomalies.
If you haven't detected the new firmware yet, please wait patiently for a while.
Thanks~

Hi Joseph,
Can you send me the file to apply this to the Archer AX55, as I haven't got an update in the UK yet.
I'm still on a beta version of:
1.5.10 Build 20260121 rel.29726(4555)
Archer AX55 v1.0
This version is pretty good, but ideally another version which is more stable would be better, or would I need to download in through the update page on my router.
Thanks.

Hello @Bogle ,
Thanks for reaching out and for sharing this information with the community. We understand your frustration regarding the availability of firmware for your router
Regarding End-of-Life (EoL) concerns, I'd like to clarify that the absence of new firmware updates does not necessarily mean that a product has reached EoL. Usually, firmware is released only when there is a bug, a flaw, a vulnerability to patch, or a new feature to add. If the product is functioning properly, there may not be frequent updates.
We appreciate your feedback on the availability of the firmware download and your concerns about the EoL timeline. Your advice about saving configuration backups is also excellent.

Appreciate you getting back to me but I have gone and replaced it now with a different brand.
The FW I've been banging on about is up on the CA support section for the AX73 V2 FW ending 717 since December yet still no EU/UK one? I can't risk trying to write that one in due to the regional differences, I may seem extreme but I like to be able to reload an existing FW every so often for my own sanity that it's as clean as it can be.
The EoL thing is always concerning as the company is known to not release FW that often, granted these things have a lifespan just like anything else tech does as tech moves fast so what I would like to suggest you moot to the TPGods is this, when a router isn't going to get any FW updates anymore to have an easy to find page highlighting any models that are now known to be open season rather than just EoL as an EoL that is still robust online is no different to a router that's current but hasn't had any updates either.
I will add one other thing, the brand I bought offers all that stuff that's behind a paywall on yours and more regarding options, I've dipped my toe elsewhere and liked what I've found, I may comeback sometime later to you but the company needs to realise people don't want a BMW like subscription to pay pm on routers that aren't cheap, I snagged the 73 reasonable in a sale/offer but it was a near £200 router at one time iirc.
Anyway lets leave it there and I do appreciate you're just the messenger in all of this.
Regards Bogle.
