Model: Archer AX50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.2 build 20251022 rel.69668

As I said in subject, AX50 does not show online clients in Tether android app and shows clients via web interface, I have made som management in past, when it worked, real status of my devices reflected status in tether app and also via web. I added my sons to parental control, added their devices and I can block them via tether, this worked and works also at this time, but even though I know they are online, I cant see them in tether. But timers in app show correct online times for them, timers counting, but their names are grey not green (offline). Tried app reinstal, tried factory reset of router (but all settings remained - maybe I made some mistake). Some advice please? Thank you.

Hello @Atrej ,

Welcome to our community.

Looks like on your Archer AX50, connected client devices appear grey (offline) in the Tether Android app, even though they are actually online, while the web interface shows them correctly, and the parental control timers in the app are counting accurately. This is definitely a confusing situation, and we'd like to help you troubleshoot it.

Please try the following steps:

1. Ensure devices are connected to this router's network: Confirm that your devices are connected to the AX50's network specifically, and not to another router or access point that might share the same Wi-Fi name.

2. Update the router's firmware: Log in to the web interface at https://tplinkwifi.net, then go to Advanced > System > Firmware Update and make sure the router is running the latest firmware. Outdated firmware can sometimes cause display inconsistencies in the Tether app.

3. Perform a proper factory reset: Since you mentioned that all settings remained after your previous factory reset, it's possible the reset was not completed correctly. To do a full factory reset, press and hold the Reset button on the router for about 10 seconds until the LED flashes, then release. This should restore the router to factory defaults (note: you will need to reconfigure your settings afterward).

4. Restart the router and reconnect devices: After any changes, restart the router and have your devices reconnect to the network fresh.

5. Check for static IP addresses: If any of your devices are configured with static (manually assigned) IP addresses rather than receiving one automatically via DHCP, they may not display their status correctly in the client list.
