Model: Deco
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.31 Build 20251023 Rel. 47884

I have 2 Deco devices in my house. One is positioned near the back window which 25-30 ft from my garage. Outside my garage I have seen speeds up to 750mbps. Problem is, my garage has aluminum siding, and I am lucky if I can get 10Mbps inside the garage. Can I put a range extender or access point outside my garage to capture the wifi signal and route it into the garage using an Ethernet cable connected to the extender/access point? If so, which device should I use? I know there is a Deco for outside use but I don't know if it would work to do what I want. My backyard has a great signal, but the siding on the garage kills it.

I would suggest outdoor rated Deco unit, such as X50-Outdoor or BE25-Outdoor. These units have Ethernet port you can use to connect them to your house network with Ethernet cable.

This is probably the most seamless option for already existent Deco mesh.

Hi,
If you can place a Deco unit in your garage and connect it to another Deco directly via an Ethernet cable, I recommend purchasing a Deco of the same model and hardware version.
Best Regards
