XE75 V1 Firmware Question – WAN/LAN Auto‑Sensing Bug
Greetings everyone,
My home network setup is the following:
Main Deco: XE75 V1
Satellite Decos: 5× X55 V3 and 2× X50‑Outdoor V1
The main Deco restarts every night because both the modem and the Deco are connected to a scheduled smart plug. About an hour later, the Deco system also performs its own centralized reboot of all units. I know some people may consider this unnecessary, but based on my experience, the network performance is noticeably better with daily restarts. Unfortunately, the built‑in scheduled reboot alone is not sufficient for the XE75 V1.
However, I am experiencing an anomaly: there is roughly a 50–50% chance that after the restart, the main Deco reports “No Internet” and shows a red LED, even though the internet connection is actually working fine and all devices have access. I assume this issue is related to the WAN/LAN auto‑sensing bug.
I am currently using the latest official firmware for the XE75 V1: 1.4.3 Build 20240926
I found the beta firmware mentioned in the WAN/LAN auto‑sensing thread: 1.4.5 Build 20250107 Beta, which is supposed to fix this specific issue. I believe it might also resolve my problem.
I would like to ask a few questions:
-
Does this beta firmware include only the WAN/LAN auto‑sensing fix, meaning it should be safe to install? Or should I expect possible instability due to limited testing?
-
If I install the beta, will my current settings be preserved?
-
When a new official firmware is released in the future, will I be able to update from the beta without issues? Will my settings remain intact after upgrading?
-
If the beta causes problems, is downgrading to the previous official firmware possible?
-
Since this beta was released quite some time ago, is there any expectation of a new full official firmware for the XE75 V1?
Thank you very much for your help and for answering my questions!
