This issue comes up quite often here. In most cases the reason for the Android hotspot not being visible by Archer USB Wi-Fi adapters is that the Android phone broadcasts its 5 GHz hotspot on channels 149 and higher, but these channels are not available on many of the Archer USB Wi-Fi adapters made for the "EU" regulations.

So, please check if you can spot the letters "EU" on the serial number label of the Archer T2U's retail box.

If the above was the case, then the workaround would be to configure the hotspot of the Android phone to use the 2.4 GHz band.
 

  @woozle  The model marked as EU, and I installed the correct driver.
Using the 2.4GHz band is not an option, because I bought this adapter for the 5GHz only.

Searching online I discovered that the Realtek chipset of this dongle has bad compatibility with modern smartphones, spefically the ones produced by Xiaomi/Poco.

I'm going to sell the adapter to someone that can use it.

It's not just Xiaomi/Poco. Every Android smartphone of recent years that I got my hands on had its 5 GHz hotspot at channels 149 to 165.
