Hi,

I'm moving from an acient 802.11bgn wifi to the mimo enabled 802.11ac one. Just noticed that most of the TP-link wifi router is transmitting at 30dBm (or 1000mW). My old 802.11bgn transmits only at about 200mW. The old router has 2 antennas, while the new TP-link one has multiple antennas. I'm pretty sure the old router has only one Tx antenna, so the 200mV limit is for one Tx antenna. Since TP-link is using MIMO, it seems to me all of the antennas are Tx antennas based on the way the router is advertised. I'm wondering is 1000mV the limit for each of the antennas on the new TP-link router, or it is the total tx power aggregated from all of the Tx antennas?

what are the actual tx power (dBm) for high/mid/low tx settings? I can't seem to find any info from the specs.

Thanks,
dmt
