@Ulbi I upgraded the X50 firmware to 1.2.0 awhile ago, and the x50 has stayed on line. Note - my X50 is hardwired.

@akapal Ditto. My x50-Outdoor keeps going offline. The green light is on, but the X50 is offline in the Deco app. Firmware version is 1.0.1

@BudNet Have a partial answer to my own question. On Windows 10 devices, you can set a default band preference: Device Manager / Network Adapters / Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 .... / Advanced / Preferred Band...
