i think the instructions are very clear, read it carefully, use the supplier power cord , dont plug the ethernet cable , but if you have already configured the outdoor unit to be a separate network,...

@Dean_B try adding the outdoor unit via wifi only, do not plug the ethernet cable yet, so you should use the supplied power adaptor first, placing it near other working deco mesh, after pairing it...
