@VsnGarcia I can only figure 2 reasons, both are evil: 1. Forced obsolescence. TPLink can "flip a switch" and instantly brick every one of these devices when they want to force us into upgrades. 2....

@Bisquit_Brain I have a feeling it's more so they can force us to buy new equipment when they decide this model is EOL by simply disabling all management functions and possibly the unit itself.
