I reached out to Tapo support, supplied them with my cameras MAC address's and they released additional newer firmware that seemed to have fixed the issue for me. Might help y;all as well to get in...

@Mattyboi001 Exact same issue here, all 3 of my C310 cameras are stuck in night mode, have to manually enable Day mode and then switch back to auto after updating to 1.4.2
