I absolutely agree, this is a bug.I reported it to TP-Link support but they didn't seem to understand me and I didn't have the energy to follow up and try harder to explain the problem. :-(

I have always expected that the malware protection is based on network addresses, not content - that the Deco is supposed to block connections to Internet servers that were found to serve malware....

I think the introduction of new models is likely a good sign - I was starting to fear that TP Link was about to abandon the Deco.
