Quick fix and wow what a speed difference in WiFi performance, install the DD-WRT firmware its brilliant ;-) shame you have to go to this length though

Oh and to add to the message above if it gets posted. When the wifi is up (2.4Ghz) and i run a speedtest i get roughly 1.4mb up and 1.7 down on my crappy but better talktalk router i get 39.7mb up...
