LOL! Or do what belkin did - hack together some low end parts, outsource a team to integrate a steaming pile of freeware, sell it separately as the "wemo homekit bridge" another $50... and when anyone complains that it crashes daily and keeps losing their devices just shrug and tell them to try resetting it and to set it up again.

If you're an ios user and you can stomach a bit of adventure, grab a low end android phone is $20-$30 from walmart/bestbuy/target, etc or a low end tablet from ebay. Add AutomationManager for $9 and you've got a full home automation platform with a touch screen console, in house automation (no need for the cloud), and remote access from any web browser. Then add the AM HomeBridge (also $9) and you're good to go with HomeKit and Siri control over your TP Link devices. All on an open non-propietary platform (android) with no buggy/risky freeware.

Hey, looks like it is possible to squeeze it in a small device, the wemo mini is very much like the TP Link socket: https://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2018/7/19/17593236/belkin-wemo-mini-apple-smart-home-homekit-support-software-update-plug-outlet. Reports from the belkin forum are that it doesn't work yet.

oh well that's great news that someone has actually moved it forward a notch. will keep my eyes peeled to see how it develops.

wonder whether the 'phased release' of the firmware could be in-part responsible for the 'not currently working' comments (didn't go to the forum so I didn't read the specifics).

more to the point, wonder whether TPLink will take the challenge and do similar with the HS110. I really do hope so.

Geez admins - some legitimate posts get delayed for days until you authorize them, real people waiting for help. But hellenjos et al have been posting this kind of junk for more than a year, still nothing yet done. Do you really believe she's a regular visitor that just happens to have a lot of "printer problems"?

Surely Google and TP Link have mutual obligations that exclude certain types of cooperation with competing corporations.
