Implemented Having to run Kasa and Tapo app for different devices
I have an HS100 smart plug and two
Kasa Spot cameras working on the Kasa app.
I have recently purchased two P100 smart sockets but I can't add these to the Kasa app, I have to use the Tapo app which is a really pain in the rear as I would prefer everything in the same place. O also prefer the layout of the Kasa app.
Does anyone know why the P100 isn't available.on the Kasa app? It isn't even listed as a model when creating this post.

Being angry sometimes is an efficient way to express our urgent needs. So pls take in mind this is not aim to you.
Every company can make the right decision and the wrong decision based on the understanding at that time. But the great company is the one that is willing to hear the voice widely and adjust their direction quickly.
I believe to merge Kassa and Tapo ecosystem is not a blocked by technology, once the decision makers changes their mind, it can be achieveable soon.
@Kevin_Z as a TP-LINK community representative, I hope you can forward our voice to decision makers.
I vote for this request to merge TP-Link Tapo and Kassa smart home ecosystem. For others who also have this need, please share your voice and vote. The louder voice, the more democracy.

I didn't believe this was possible, but after reading multiple comments everywhere, looks like this is real.
Unbelievable marketing fail!
I'm looking for a smart system for my house, but using two apps for the same functions is an absolute no go.
So TP-Link is not an option anymore.

Hi,
I had the exact same issues, bought a Tapo Smart Camera C100 and a Smart Plug P100 then this weekend I bought the Kaso smartbulb because your web blurb says it works across the tp-link range. This not the case and like others find the switching across apps to be a real pain in the neck. I shall be returning the bulb to Amazon. Very dissapointing as I was geninely impressed with the Tapo range.
Probably a case for trading standards?

@Glenninmerida just had the same issue. 3 Kasa smart plugs, and just got 2 new Tapo indoor cams.
cant control from same app after being led to believe I could. Seriously disappointing.

@matthew.mfden definantely agree with you on this one. It's unlikely to be prohibitive for any technical reasons to integrate kasa and tapo. Just stupid marketing. I really hope they reconsider and make cross brand intergration possible. Come on TP LINK, Make the link!!!!

If @kevin_7 is representative of how tp-link treat their customers post purchase (totally ignoring their concerns and not even saying he'll pass on our feedback ) then I see little reason why I would ever buy another tp link product. As an ambassador of their company he's failing.
Anyway I returned all my kasa equipment and bought a couple of refurbished Nest cameras off ebay. They're great. Going to get a couple of external ones this week!
