[Solved] Fixed the issues after upgrading to firmware 1.4.0 of Deco M5

Dear all,
If you encounter an unstable connection issue, repeated new devices detected messages, disappearance of mesh technology switch for clients connected to satellite Deco or experience a really slow speed after upgrading to the 1.4.0 of Deco M5, the official firmware has fixed these issues and please update to the latest firmware via Deco APP. or web Interface.

I experience irregular WiFi drop outs of my four wirelessly connected Deco M5's in AP mode. They all run on firmware version 1.4.4 Build 20200221 Rel. 65392. The system log of my main Deco is full of error messages, which I am willing to share with you.
I've already swapped around the Deco's and reset them to factory settings, but nothing seems to help. Similar observations from other forum members suggest that I'm experiencing a firmware-related issue, so I ran out of options to fix the problem myself.
Please send me a PM, so I can send you the log files. I wish to downgrade the Deco's to a stable firmware version and otherwise consider returning the hardware to TP-Link.

@Fentanyl If you have hte option to return it, i would suggest doing it now. Many of us have been strugglign for a few months with very old firmware because every new update screws up more stuff. I want to love the deco's, because when they work, they're awesome... but TP-Link keeps breaking them.

I've reduced the number of active Deco's from four to two, which seems to have resulted in a more stable connection. I presume that the slave Deco experiences less overload after the alteration, since its operating temperature is way lower.
I'm curious to know whether you folks experience similar improvements.

Anyone who downgraded to 1.4.2 from 1.4.4 beause of connection issues, has anyone upgraded back up? I worry about being behind on firmware from a security standpoint, but I also am enjoying having the network actually function.

@erikwi It's actually not an upgrade, you're actually using this to downgrade the current firmware. No idea if it works for M9, but it wouldn't surprise me.

@onemoar The slave Deco's in my network are wirelessly connected to the main Deco. This wireless option is why I choose for TP-Link Deco in the first place, since there are way nicer alternatives for wired mesh WiFi solutions (such as ceiling-mounted access points and ethernet-over-power solutions). I don't think that many of the wireless-minded people here are willing to connect their Deco to both a power cable and ethernet cable anyways . TP-Link should just come with a solution immediately, otherwise we don't get value for money.
