I have just upgraded my broadband hub and have successfully reset five of my six DS100 plugs to work with it and all is well.

 

But for one of them I am unable te reset it using the reset button. When plugging it in it goes through  three stages from 1 amber to 2 flashing green then eventually to 3 red. At any of these stages I press the reset button and hold it down but nothing happens until it eventually goes red. 

I have tried on the old hub aswell but still get the same problem.

 

Any suggestions or should I just give up on it and buy a new one?

As per your description, it seems that the last HS100 never goes to Ready for setup mode, please try to power it off and leave it for several minutes, then power it on and press the settings button for more than 10s again.

 

If the plug cannot be reset successfully, we cannot add it back to the new network on the Kasa app, sorry about that.

 

You may contact the local tech support to check the warranty cause the device seems faulty.

Thanks for the advice and I had already contacted support and they have authorised a replacement as the problem was u able to be solved.
