And it happened again...

This time all 2.4 ghz connected devices lost connection to router.

5 ghz worked fine and also LAN cable connected devices worked.

If I disconnected from 5 ghz and tried to connect to 2.4 ghz my iPhone said "Unable to join the network".

But I could normally connect back to 5ghz.

When looking at available networks on my iPhone the 2.4 ghz network was visible only on some occasions - sometimes networks were found, sometimes not.

As if 2.4 bands were all the time rebooting or something?

Rebooted the router and all working again no problem... but for how long...

I have updated now to new firmware: 1.3.6 Build 20200902 rel.65590(4555)

It says there are some bugfixes and improved experience of the 2.4ghz network.

Fingers crossed that it really is better smiley

And it happened twice yesterday... on my phone the internet connectivity stopped working.

My phone was connected to 2.4 ghz network, while on router i have set that it can automatically connect to better band (2.4 or 5) - same WiFi name.

I could see devices on LAN and connect to them, but nothing went through router to modem (internet).

I could normally ping 192.168.0.1 (router).

Other devices on 2.4 ghz worked normally, could stream youtube on my tv box and other phones worked (also on 2.4 ghz).

Tried also disconnecting and reconnecting my phone back to WiFi, this time I could connect but it was again same (no internet connectivity).

Left it then for another half-hour if it would fix itself, but it didn't. After router restart everything again back to normal...

Hi, thanks for getting back, while sorry to hear that you are still experiencing an issue with the router.

Is your Archer A6 a US version or an EU version? I have sent you a PM, please check and confirm, thanks.

@Kevin_Z Hi, yes it is Archer A6 EU V2.0.

I have installed the beta version you provided - 1.3.6 Build 20201030 rel.60104(4555) and will let you know how it works.

Thanks!

@Kevin_Z

Hi, the beta firmware still seems to have the problems with 2.4ghz band.
Last time our internet provider Telemach (Slovenia) had problems with network and our internet was down.
The router got IP from modem as always (dynamic), but no connectivity to internet.
In this time (2 hours) that internet was not working the A6 lost all 2.4 ghz devices twice.
I don't know if this is connected in any way, but could it happen that when our internet provider has problems with network it also affects the router?
I believe this shouldn't happen, but I don't have any better explanation...

@Luka_P

Hi, as replied to you via PM, the C6 won't connect to the internet if there is no internet on the modem or the internet is down on your ISP line, as it generates the internet from the modem but not create an internet automatically.

I hope this makes sense.
