Thanks a lot for your time and patience.
Have you tried to reset the plug to the factory default, such as https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2612/ ?
By the way, how long have you had the device?
If the setup failed again, please spare me a picture of which step you failed to get through;
And may I know the model number of your home router?
